Nurse Lead Role Overview

ACM Healthcare is seeking an experienced Nurse Lead to join our team at a luxury private rehab facility in Queensland. As a key member of the clinical team, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of the nursing team and working closely with other patient support staff to provide high-quality healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and support to nursing and care staff team members.
  • Ensure the provision of advanced care to patients as directed by medical practitioners.
  • Initiate and implement quality nursing care support informed by best practice.
  • Plan, coordinate, and problem-solve the clinical management of patients in the residence.
  • Act as a clinical resource within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Oversee the safe administration of medication for patients and ensure relevant legislative standards are met.
  • Maintain close working relationships with doctors, allied health teams, and other health organisations in the delivery of healthcare to patients.
  • Monitor patient physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, recording concerns in case notes and reporting them to relevant clinicians.
  • Manage policy and procedure development, staff recruitment, rostering, and staff performance management.
  • Promote a work environment conducive to harmonious work relationships and high staff morale.

Requirements

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and experience as a leader of nursing teams.
  • 10+ years of experience in nursing, with mental health experience and an understanding of addiction treatments desirable.
  • A valid driver's license (C class - car) must be held at all times during employment.
