Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer will lead financial strategy, oversee finance and payroll operations, and manage outsourced IT services to ensure operational excellence and sustainable growth.

About the Role
  • This senior leadership position reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across Finance, Payroll, and Information Systems.
  • The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the organization's financial future, ensuring long-term sustainability, robust governance, innovation, and high-performing service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the finance functions, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and effective cash flow management.
  2. Ensure compliance with financial, tax, audit, and payroll obligations, supported by strong internal controls.
  3. Oversee payroll operations, including understanding employment legislation and modern awards.
  4. Drive finance transformation, including system upgrades and automation.
  5. Review contracts, support tender pricing, and oversee client reporting.
  6. Manage outsourced IT provider relationships and ensure secure, scalable service delivery.
  7. Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  8. Represent the organization in high-level negotiations and communications with external stakeholders.
  9. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion through inclusive leadership and culture-building.

About You
  • Chartered Accountant/CPA qualification with tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • 7–10+ years' experience in senior finance leadership roles.
  • Experience in recruitment, labour hire, or professional services.
  • Knowledge of payroll and information systems.
  • Experience in governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive improvements, and manage change.
