Food Preparation and Service Role

We are seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba.

About the Opportunity:

This is a 189-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work together to deliver exceptional patient care. Our services include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac and rehabilitation.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and infection control principles are maintained.

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in food preparation, hygiene, and infection control principles is essential.
  • Basic computer literacy, using online systems, is required.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding hygiene standards, a basic understanding of infection control, and a strong customer service focus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for patients and visitors.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in food preparation, hygiene, and infection control principles.
  • Basic computer literacy, using online systems.
  • Outstanding hygiene standards and a basic understanding of infection control.
  • Strong customer service focus.
