We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Oncology team at Newcastle Private Hospital.
As a Registered Nurse in our Oncology Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an inpatient and day oncology setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise and direct nursing team members
- Proactively assess perioperative nursing care
Essential Criteria:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant post-registration experience
- Demonstrated experience working in an acute medical or oncology setting
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives
- Ability to work effectively in a supportive team
- Ability to advocate for individualised patient-centred care
- Advanced communication skills
- Flexibility to a seven-day roster
About Us:
Newcastle Private Hospital is a 189-bed acute private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. Our hospital has 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit.
Our Oncology Department provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care.
