We are seeking a seasoned engineer to contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge data networks. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of defence.
About the ProjectThis project involves working on JP9347 Joint Data Networks as a Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the project's engineering activities, from requirements development and market solicitation to acquisition through to introduction into service.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the planning and execution of the project's engineering program and participating in engineering engagement with industry as part of a holistic contract management approach.
- Conducting requirements and specification development.
- Liaising with internal and external project stakeholders, and providing mentoring to junior engineers.
- Developing engineering advice to project leadership on the engineering program, and developing briefings and other formal correspondence to project/program leadership.
- Reviewing for acceptance of contract deliverables and supporting or executing whole-of-system level certification activities.
- Bachelor of Engineering (or Engineers Australia recognised equivalent), plus ideally postgraduate qualification(s) in a relevant field.
- Analysis, design, review, and delivering high-quality engineering documentation to support government approvals and delivery.
- Initiative, creativity, and responsibility to perform a range and variety of complex technical work activities with limited guidance.
- Managing technical and integration risks, and applying testing and evaluation techniques across the system development life cycle.
- Formal qualifications in Communications, or other technology specifically relevant to tactical data links.
- Understanding of defence processes and structure.
