Job Description

This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of artists who produce exceptional work under tight deadlines for large-scale projects.

You will be responsible for creating high-quality pre-vis and post-vis CG cameras for high-profile features, using cinematography principles, shot composition, and character blocking. Your key tasks will involve composing digital assets for the rest of the pipeline to use, maintaining shot continuity across sequences, and modelling set geometry used during the match move process.

  • Minimum 4 years experience in the VFX industry on high-end live-action feature films
  • Strong skills in sequence and shot composition
  • Good understanding of cinematography in a virtual environment
  • Excellent knowledge of practical cameras and camera techniques
  • Experience with previs animation and cameras
  • Previous creature animation blocking is desirable
  • Thorough understanding of post-production pipelines
  • Broad generalist experience in 3D, comfortable with match move, asset build, and lighting
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to camera tracking, scene continuity, and technical problems that may arise during the layout process
  • Good working knowledge of Maya
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
