The Role:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaner to join our team at the Golden Grove Shopping Centre. If you have commercial or retail cleaning experience and a passion for making a difference, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This casual position offers competitive pay, paid in accordance with the Cleaning Services Award 2020. As a member of our team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, a safe and supportive working environment, and opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and tidy shopping centre, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Operate cleaning machinery, including scrubbing and buffing equipment, as well as car park sweepers.
  • Handle chemicals safely and effectively, following proper procedures and guidelines.
  • Work independently, using initiative and problem-solving skills to address any issues that arise.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive team dynamic.

Requirements:

  • Previous commercial or retail cleaning experience (on-the-job training provided)
  • Understanding of chemical handling procedures and proper cleaning techniques
  • Cleaning machinery experience preferred (scrubbing, buffing, car park sweeper)
  • Good knowledge of and commitment to safe working practices
  • Physical fitness to carry out standard duties and ability to walk for lengthy periods
  • Good listening skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to communicate in verbal and written English
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and public holidays
  • Valid work rights in Australia
