Our Team
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our Engineering and Construction team at Borg.
Key Responsibilities
As a Fitter at Borg, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Fabricating and assembling components
- Troubleshooting and repairing machinery
- Working unsupervised or as part of a team
- Traveling to other locations as required
- Working overtime when necessary
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Trade qualifications and experience as a Fitter
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with machine troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
It would be advantageous if you have:
- EWP and Working at Heights certification
- Licence to perform dogging or rigging
- CN or C6 crane ticket
- Stainless Tig Purge Welding experience
