**Job Title:** Engineering Officer
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our Development Services team in Cessnock, New South Wales.
This role will involve assessing applications related to vehicle access crossings, road restoration, infrastructure construction, stormwater drainage, and utility connections. The successful candidate will have degree qualifications in Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in civil works construction and maintenance.
About the Role- Conduct engineering inspections throughout the assessment and construction phases
- Coordinate applications and notifications for works occurring in the public road reserve and related areas
- Ensure all projects comply with approvals and meet Council standards and community expectations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in civil works construction and maintenance
- Solid knowledge of engineering principles, legislation, and specifications relevant to infrastructure assessment and approval processes
