Insurance Lawyer Opportunity

About our client: A leading national law firm is renowned for its expertise in insurance and health law. They act for prominent insurers both domestically and internationally.

The firm boasts one of the largest specialist insurance teams in Australia, delivering high-quality legal solutions across public liability, property damage, general insurance, and government & institutional abuse claims.

We are seeking experienced Lawyers at varying levels to join their Brisbane Insurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for practitioners looking to develop their skills in a supportive and career-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act on behalf of major Australian and international insurers in public liability, property damage, and institutional / government abuse matters
  2. Manage a caseload of litigated and non-litigated insurance claims, with appropriate guidance based on experience
  3. Draft and prepare pleadings, advices, settlement documents, and court submissions
  4. Attend court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
  5. Provide commercially focused legal advice to insurers and insureds
  6. Collaborate with senior lawyers and partners on complex, high-value matters

To be Successful:

  1. Between 1-6 years' post-admission experience, ideally in insurance litigation, personal injury, or related practice areas
  2. Strong drafting and technical legal skills with excellent attention to detail
  3. Confidence in managing files and client relationships with professionalism
  4. Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
  5. A collaborative, client-focused mindset with a genuine interest in building a career in insurance law
