Expert Cloud Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking an experienced cloud architect to lead the design, development and migration of applications to Microsoft Azure in a high-security environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills to partner with stakeholders and align cloud strategy with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop cloud architectures and standards to support Azure adoption
  • Collaborate with solution teams to ensure alignment with enterprise Azure architecture
  • Lead migration of legacy applications to cloud-native environments
  • Provide architectural consulting to business relationship managers, IT leadership and solution architects
  • Establish governance models and ensure compliance with security, privacy and networking policies
  • Analyse large-scale, complex, cross-system changes and assess their impact on architecture and security
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to align cloud strategy with organisational goals
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline – Desirable
  • Microsoft Azure certifications – Highly desirable
  • Proven experience designing and implementing public cloud services for enterprise use
  • Strong understanding of holistic cloud architecture frameworks and vendor integration patterns
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, plus experience with AWS, Google Cloud or other major platforms
  • Experience migrating legacy solutions to cloud environments
  • Thorough knowledge of cloud infrastructure, application design and security best practices
