**Finance Specialist Role Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to administer SAP Master Data activities, participate in Finance SAP system month end close processes, and assist with SAP Finance data integrity.

This role is part of a centralised Financial Services team that provides specialist finance SAP services to all finance operations across the organisation.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:**

  • Master Data administration responsibilities include:
    • Creation and management of master data specifications and templates for efficient data maintenance
    • Assistance in the SAP governance project, including implementation of IQX master data automation tool, and other master data process improvement initiatives that streamline team's activities
    • Regular reviews of SAP master data to identify issues before they arise in the month end process for seamless closure
  • Ensure high quality, compliance, and consistency of master data across business systems for enhanced decision making
  • Contribution to General Ledger account reconciliations for accurate financial reporting
  • Assistance with systems journals for streamlined financial transactions
  • Assistance with month end close as required, particularly pertaining to master data activities and overcome any issues as they arise

Finance System governance accountabilities include:

  • Collaboration with functions outside of Finance to ensure SAP interfaces and processes operate successfully
  • Troubleshooting finance data errors for timely resolution
  • Contribution to the Standing Journal Register, including compliance monitoring

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • SAP Finance system or master data knowledge for effective data management
  • Problem solving and strong analytical skills for data-driven decision making
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing internal relationships and collaboration with others to meet common goals and objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience working cross functionally and managing different stakeholder needs for effective partnership

**Mandatory Qualifications:**

  • Accounting, Commerce, Information System, or similar Tertiary Degree for solid foundation in finance principles
