Correctional Services Officer

About the Role- Provide safety, security, welfare, and rehabilitation of inmates/offenders.
- Conduct daily searches and musters.
- Locate and remove illegal and restricted substances while undertaking searches.
- Manage inmates of all classifications.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and security at all times.
- Undertake all custody-related administrative duties.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- A casual rate of $34.02 per hour plus super, leave, and shift loading.

- A 10-week fully paid training program.
- A Certificate III in Correctional Practice within 12 months.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Current driver's license.
- Australia or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
- Willing and able to work irregular shift patterns/hours of work (shifts up to 8 hours, 7 days a week).
- Available to work at short notice (calls for casual work are after 5 pm for work on the following day).
- Meet the minimum medical standards and be of reasonable fitness level.
- Foundational computer skills.
- No visible inappropriate or offensive tattoos.
