**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our client's team in Adelaide. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and sources of supply to ensure a smooth flow of goods and services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Oversee Procurement Operations:** Manage the overall procurement process for the business, including local and overseas suppliers.
  • **Build Strong Supplier Relationships:** Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality, price, and payment and delivery terms.
  • **Inventory Management:** Work with warehouse teams to manage stock levels, preventing shortages and overstocking while ensuring cost-efficiency.
  • **Inbound Logistics:** Oversee all inbound activities and work closely with carriers to manage documentation, payments, and shipments.
  • **Reporting and Analysis:** Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • **Contract Management:** Maintain accurate records of all procurement contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
  • **New Product Development:** Work closely with management to bring new products to market.
  • **Payment and Invoicing:** Collaborate with management to ensure timely payments and resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
  • **Process Improvement:** Improve procurement and inventory control processes to reduce costs and waste, and drive efficiencies across the supply chain function.
  • **Team Leadership:** Mentor and lead a team of procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • **Industry Trends:** Stay ahead of industry trends, market shifts, and compliance regulations, mitigating risks before they happen.

**Requirements:**

  • **Education:** A degree in business, supply chain management, information management, or similar.
  • **Experience:** 2 years or more experience in procurement or a related field.
  • **Skills:** Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

**What We Offer:**

A competitive salary range of $74,000-$84,000 per annum + superannuation.
