Job Title: MC Long Distance Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MC Long Distance Driver to join our team at Qantas Group. As a key member of our interstate transport operations, you will be responsible for driving heavy vehicles over long distances, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive heavy vehicles over long distances, predominantly performing change over work with our Melbourne Driver in Tarcutta.
  • Work across a 7-day rotating roster, usually departing no later than 7:00pm, completing the changeover and returning back to Sydney.
  • Occasionally, you would be required to drive straight to Melbourne or Adelaide.
  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • A MC drivers licence
  • Flexibility to work a 7 day rotating roster and the ability to work night shifts
  • A clean driving record
  • High attention to detail and focus on safety.
  • Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
