About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Technical Officer to join our Developer Services team at Urban Utilities. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective and efficient management of our water and wastewater networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess Standard Connection Water Approval applications and Build over asset referrals in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, codes, and processes.
  • Produce, update, and provide best practice assessments of water and wastewater network, infrastructure requirements, and impacts associated with proposed Standard Connection Water Approval applications and Build over asset related referrals.
  • Assess Standard Connection Water Approvals and Building Act proposals such as build over asset referrals using current regulatory and compliance processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance to colleagues and customers on the interpretation and application of policies, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong customer relationships and customer-centric solutions.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance on interpreting and applying knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Clear and effective verbal communication skills and ability to provide technical guidance on expressing ideas, requesting actions, and formulating plans or policies.
  • Previous experience using procedures/systems, development planning, or engineering.
