Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist Job Description:

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with diverse client needs, requiring autonomy and flexibility to manage your day.

You will be part of a strong team of healthcare professionals who support each other and provide resources for success. The position involves providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with various conditions, helping them achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Effective case management with manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants for administrative tasks
  • Applying clinical knowledge to enhance return to work outcomes
  • Collaborating with employers and employees to develop injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Working closely with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals
  • Assisting individuals with injuries or health conditions to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes

To succeed in this position, you will require:

  • A degree in Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Osteopathy
  • Full Professional Registration with AHPRA or Full Professional Accreditation with ESSA
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships and work collaboratively
  • Strong time management skills, enabling work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • A desire to problem solve with confidence, initiative, and results-oriented approach
  • A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and associated health benefits
  • A current driver's license and access to your own vehicle
