About the role

This Business Advisory Manager position offers an exceptional opportunity to develop your skills and work with a multi-disciplinary firm with exceptional growth potential.

Our accounting, advisory and tax experts deliver innovative solutions, tailored to the clients' personal or business needs. Our experts work with businesses of all sizes, helping to improve performance and achieve strategic growth.

This role involves preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and general-purpose reports for various entities and industries.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in public practice and will enjoy providing a high-level service, expert advice, and support to a range of client groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and general-purpose reports
  • Conduct tax research and handle general tax administration tasks
  • Service a diverse client base, resolving issues and addressing individual client needs
  • Perform journal adjustments, reconciliations, and supporting work papers for clients' accounts
  • Experienced in Xero, MYOB, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance, support, and training as required
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay up to date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards
Desired Skills and Experience

About you

  • Qualification(s) and/or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business/Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Demonstrated professional experience in business and tax advisory within a public practice setting
  • Professional, client-focused, and invested in developing into a trusted business advisor
  • Proven experience in supervising and leading a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Excellent prioritisation, attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills with the ability to adapt in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner
