About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at Mackay Base Hospital. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

About the Hospital

Mackay Base Hospital is a 236-bed regional hospital that provides a wide range of medical services to the community. Our hospital is equipped with leading-edge technology and has a strong focus on patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency medical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development of our Emergency Department, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and education programs
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours shifts as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a registered specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and have Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency (FACEM) or equivalent. You will also need to have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
