At Chatkazz Harris Park, we are renowned for delivering the highest quality Indian cuisine with over 200 dishes on our menu inspired by the North and South of India.

We are seeking an experienced culinary expert to join our friendly team in Harris Park.

The successful candidate will work full-time at 38 hours a week and be offered a Permanent Full-Time position.

To be considered, candidates must have:

· The right to work in Australia

· A Certificate III in commercial cookery or extensive work experience as a cook focused in Indian culinary/cuisine

· A minimum of 2-3 years of work experience

· The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

· A passion for excellent quality food, produce, and service

· Reliability, punctuality, and a hardworking attitude

· Strong communication skills

· The ability to maintain kitchen procedures and WHS standards

The ideal candidate will assist in running day-to-day kitchen duties, prepare and cook different foods as per the menu and customer orders, and set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.

Responsibilities include:

· Preparing ingredients for use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat)

· Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene

· Communicating orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages

· Receiving, storing, stock segregation, and keeping records of foodstuffs used

· Observing and testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently

· Portioning, arranging, and garnishing food, and placing it in different platters

· Supervising and managing junior cooks and kitchen staff
