Assistant Account Broker Opportunity

Anton Murray Consulting is partnering with a leading Australian Insurance Broker to find an exceptional Assistant Account Broker to join their team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing new business, endorsements, and renewals, as well as providing general broker support to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new business, endorsements, and renewals in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide general broker support to the team, including answering queries and resolving issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and legislative changes.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (highly preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience in Financial Services.
  • Strong knowledge of Technical Insurance/Broking Skills, including insurance products, legislative obligations, claims processes, and invoicing procedures.
  • High computer literacy, particularly with word processing and spreadsheet packages.

  • Negotiation: ability to explore acceptable alternatives and positions, present rational arguments, and focus on the problem rather than the person.

  • Communication: ability to clearly express ideas in writing and verbally, use professional vocabulary and language, and effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: ability to work effectively in a team, contribute to building morale, and put in extra effort to help the team.
  • Time Management, Planning, and Organisation: ability to effectively manage time and resources, set and achieve goals, and establish procedures to monitor results.
  • Customer Service Orientation: ability to develop customer relationships by listening and making efforts to understand the customer.
