
Assembly Technician

The purpose of this Assembly role is to assemble components and fit parts to trucks. You will work in a team environment, performing general production assembly and housekeeping duties as required within the truck production facility.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Meeting production targets by working with the Team Leader and the team
- Assembling parts on to trucks by following build instructions
- Utilizing correct power tooling for assembly work
- Picking parts from the supermarket (line side shelves)
- Following written standard operating procedures
- Completing quality checks by reading build instructions and comparing to assembly work completed
Performance Expectations:
- Follow the directions of the Team Leader and/or Production Leader
- Adhere to company policies and procedures in accordance with site EBA and Award
- Work within a designated team of assemblers to fit components onto trucks
- Use the correct tools and equipment for assembly and fitment activities
- Liaise effectively with other teams as required
- Take initiative and be involved in improving day-to-day business
About You:
You have basic numeracy/Literacy skills and computer skills or a willingness to learn. You are able to follow written instructions and procedures, perform manual work, and use hand and power tools or be willing to learn.
