About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Culinary Artist - Baking Expert to join our team at Woolworths. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods that meet our customers' expectations.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong background in retail baking. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of productivity while ensuring the quality of our products remains exceptional.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and cakes to meet customer demand
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction
- Contribute to the development of new recipes and product offerings
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Australian (AQF issued) Trade/Proficiency Certificate III in Retail Baking (Breadmaking) or equivalent
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship within Australia
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
