The Patient Transportation Specialist is responsible for transporting patients to and from the radiology department in a safe and timely manner. This role requires excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:- Selecting the most appropriate mode of transportation based on patient needs and exam requirements
- Transporting patients via wheelchair or stretcher, utilizing proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety
- Demonstrating competence in lifting and moving patients, using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintaining accurate records and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure patient documentation is complete
- BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
