Job Description

The Patient Transportation Specialist is responsible for transporting patients to and from the radiology department in a safe and timely manner. This role requires excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:
  1. Selecting the most appropriate mode of transportation based on patient needs and exam requirements
  2. Transporting patients via wheelchair or stretcher, utilizing proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety
  3. Demonstrating competence in lifting and moving patients, using proper equipment and techniques
  4. Maintaining accurate records and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure patient documentation is complete
Qualifications:
  • BLS certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
