**Role Overview**

The Catering Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that residents receive nourishing and enjoyable meals tailored to their individual needs.

They help create a welcoming atmosphere during meal times, assist with meal preparation, serving, and setup, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist with meal preparation, which may include chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning food, and preparing simple dishes under supervision.
  • Serve meals to residents during meal times, ensuring each resident receives the appropriate meal according to their dietary requirements.
  • Set up the dining areas before meal times, ensuring tables are clean and all necessary items like cutlery, plates, and glasses are in place.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area.
  • Interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during meal times, addressing their needs and requests as appropriate.

**Requirements:**

  • Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Adaptable, passionate, and willingness to learn.
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities.
