About the Role:

Coulson Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bell 412 Helicopter Pilot to join our team. As a Pilot in Command, you will be responsible for conducting aerial firefighting and flood response operations, crew/equipment transport, reconnaissance, search and rescue, disaster mitigation, and related operations in support of emergency services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Pilot in Command of Bell 412 EP helicopter in Firefighting operations both day and night and other missions as required by the company
  • Conduct both air transport and aerial work operations such as Aerial Fire Suppression, Dispensing operations, External load, winching personnel, Intel, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), Search and Rescue and any other task specialist operations in support of Emergency Service Organizations both during day and night as required
  • Be able to work on a roster away from home base for extended periods at a time
  • Devote time to group or self-study of aircraft systems, EP's, etc. and be available for training and check-flights as required by Coulson Group
  • Maintain written and computerized flight logs and records
  • Ensure all flights, operations and other work follow CASA Regulations, Company Manuals, policies and client SOP's and are achieved safely, effectively and efficiently
  • Maintains self and helicopter in a constant state of readiness for dispatch to emergency and non-emergency operations; or to any other assigned locations as required by the company at short notice
  • Perform any other duties during schedule shift as requested by Director of Operations or Head of Flying Operations

Requirements:

  • Australian CPL(H) 3000 hrs.
  • Rotary Experience
  • Australian Class 1 Medical
  • HUET
  • CRM
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness
  • Low Level Firefighting rating
  • Low Level Sling Load Rating
  • Low Level Winch Rating
  • Minimum 3 year and 500 hours experience in remote area and unimproved landing area operations
  • Minimum 3 year and 500 hours background in Part 138 Aerial work operations including firefighting and/or external load operations
  • The right to live and work in Australia

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • NVFR Rating
  • NVIS Rating
  • Multi Engine Instrument Rating
