Job Title: Financial Support Officer

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small, supportive environment and is confident with financial tasks.

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and capable Financial Support Officer to join our team on a casual basis.

  • Prepare and assist with quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
  • Process invoices and arrange account payments
  • Conduct basic reconciliation and banking
  • Manage records for planned giving envelopes
  • Liaise with clergy, musicians, and funeral directors
  • Maintain sacramental registers and parish records
  • Prepare and manage documentation for baptisms, funerals, and marriages
  • Support general reception duties including answering phones, greeting visitors, mail handling, and room bookings
About You:
  • Previous experience in office administration or clerical support
  • Confidence with financial tasks and BAS preparation
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Respectful, professional, and capable of maintaining confidentiality
  • Familiarity with Catholic parish life or willingness to learn
