About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Well Integrity Specialist to join our team at Beach Energy. As a key member of our Facilities Engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well integrity of our onshore wells in South Australia and Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate compliance with our Well Integrity Management Plan (WIMP) to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our wells.
  • Develop and update well barrier status diagrams to identify and mitigate risks associated with well integrity.
  • Ensure all wells are accurately captured and up-to-date in our electronic Well Integrity Management System.
  • Prepare monthly internal reports to well integrity risk owners and the Lead Well Integrity Engineer.
  • Coordinate well integrity risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Prepare regulatory reports on well integrity status and activities.
  • Coordinate the approval of deviations and dispensations with relevant wells.
  • Engage and coordinate contractors for well integrity and wellhead routine maintenance programs.
  • Develop and maintain asset-specific well integrity management plans.
  • Support the development of well management plans (WMPs).

About You

We are looking for a technically proficient individual with industry experience in well integrity, well engineering, or petroleum engineering. You should have a demonstrated understanding of well integrity discipline, including drilling and completions, well bore physics, well maintenance, and well integrity hazards.

You will have sound risk assessment and risk management skills, with the ability to minimize potential safety and environmental risks. Well Control Certification (onshore and/or offshore drilling and cased hole operations) is preferred, or you must be willing to obtain it.

You will be a delivery-focused individual with the ability to build fruitful and value-adding relationships with stakeholders, including Beach Energy Safety, Drilling, Completions, and Production teams.
