Key Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Technology Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the engineering team's technical standards and best practices.

You will work closely with the Principal Technologist, Architects, and technology teams to provide strategic technical direction and ensure we have the right tools and processes in place.

Collaborating with Value Stream leads is essential to understanding their needs and requirements, ensuring our technology aligns with business objectives.

The UI Library will feature functional capabilities. Each module will require defining:

  • Interactions: how the UI atom, component, or template behaves when a user interacts with it on the digital channel.
  • Analytics: tags, tracking, and integration with digital analytics tools to track user behavior and engagement.
  • Security: security best practices and guidelines to protect QBE and users from security threats.
  • Accessibility: building and using UI components to adhere to accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Training materials: user guides, tutorials, and other resources to help developers and business users effectively use the design system.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical expertise in UI/UX development.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools and tag management systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
