About the Role

VMCH's Independent Living house in Wangaratta provides individuals with disabilities a supportive environment to develop life skills and independence. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide individualized capacity building supports to empower individuals to complete daily tasks and administrative duties.

You will have the opportunity to work across various programs, including group programs, one-on-one support, and community access. Successful candidates will be required to work a range of rostered shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and sleepovers.

About You

You will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and a passion for supporting them to gain skills for independent living. You will have a Certificate III in Individual Support or similar, and a current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in the Disability, Community, or Healthcare sectors.
  • Experience developing life skills and capacity building.
  • Basic level of computer and administration skills.
  • Current valid full Driver's Licence, Car Insurance, and Car Registration.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check (WWCC).
