Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-voltage electrical systems for our energy storage projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop high-voltage electrical systems for energy storage projects, including Balance of Plant (eBoP) and Power Substation (eBoP) systems.
  2. Lead the evaluation of proposals from BOP contractors to support system integration.
  3. Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  4. Ensure completed systems meet all specifications, codes, standards, and customer requirements.
  5. Collaborate with project managers and other project participants to provide technical support and assistance.
  6. Monitor project progress, coordinate activities, and resolve problems to maintain project schedules.
  7. Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
  8. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  9. Interact with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  10. Perform quality control of work, including budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance, and report regularly on project status.
  11. Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests, including quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  13. Work closely with Energy Storage project and engineering teams to lead construction site activities for battery storage projects until satisfactory completion.
  14. Review and confirm the accuracy of work performed and methods used by engineering staff and contractors.
  15. Answer questions and resolve issues brought forward by internal project team members, subcontractors, and customers.
  16. Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally.

Requirements:

  1. BS/BA minimum; Electrical Engineering preferred.
  2. 10+ years of engineering experience.
  3. Experience in Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) for High Voltage Systems, Wind, Solar, or Conventional Power Generation.
  4. Willing and able to travel, domestically and internationally.
  5. Electrical Chartered Professional status is preferred.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track.
  8. Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
  9. Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in resolving disagreements and distilling complicated topics to a broader audience.
  10. Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  11. Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results.
  12. Ability to review contracts and technical requirements.
  13. Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
