Senior Business Development Manager for Underground Engineering Projects

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Australia and Victoria (ANZ/VIC). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development and bid management within the local construction and engineering industry.
About the RoleThis is a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated individual to lead business development and bid management initiatives in the ANZ/VIC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing strategic business plans to drive growth and revenue in the underground engineering sector;
- Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, designers, and industry professionals to identify and pursue new business opportunities;
- Collaborating with our technical team to ensure alignment between business development and technical expertise;
- Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings;
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, providing updates on project progress, and addressing concerns or issues;
- Identifying opportunities for additional services to existing clients;
- Collecting client feedback and insights to enhance service offerings and operational efficiency;
- Leading bid presentations and negotiations, effectively communicating the company's value proposition and addressing client concerns;
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Proven experience in business development and bid management within the local construction and engineering industry;
- A well-connected network with local clients and contractors;
- A strong understanding of the engineering aspects of underground engineering and familiarity with other relevant civil engineering disciplines;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in communication and proposal writing;
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field;
- A minimum of 10 years of experience post-Bachelor's degree;
- The ability to travel to client and opportunity locations as needed;

Estimated Salary RangeThe estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
