Job Description

Seeking an academic with a strong background in clinical education to deliver high-quality teaching and coordinate curriculum development across multiple campuses.

The position involves leading educational initiatives, contributing to the Undergraduate Medicine Program Redesign, engaging in scholarly activity and research at national and international levels, and providing clinical teaching and educational leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Coordinate curriculum development and reform initiatives to align with changing industry needs.
  • Lead educational initiatives and collaborate with colleagues to support students from diverse backgrounds and promote equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Engage in scholarly activity and research to advance knowledge and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
  • Provide clinical teaching and educational leadership to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Required Skills and Qualifications

PhD in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience are essential for this role. The successful candidate will also possess medical qualification registrable in NSW with specialist training, preferably in a Critical Care field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with colleagues, students, and other stakeholders. Experience in teaching and learning design across undergraduate and postgraduate levels is also desirable.

A strong research track record with high-quality outputs and leadership potential is essential for this role. Active involvement with the profession and/or industry, as well as excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills, are also highly valued.
