About the Role

This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with expertise in supply chain management.

As a Supply Manager, you will be responsible for fostering strong supplier relationships and ensuring seamless service for internal customers.

You will work closely with internal teams to deliver optimal service, cost efficiency, and inventory outcomes.

  • Mentor and support Integrated Supplier Partnership Planners and Supply Planners, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in systems and processes.
  • Represent internal teams in supplier discussions to ensure optimised inventory outcomes.
  • Identify key suppliers, anticipate supply challenges, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the exchange of vital supply chain data between the company and Distribution Centre suppliers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead collaboration sessions between Trading and Replenishment Teams, Supplier Account Managers, and Supply Chain experts.
  • Drive service, inventory, and cost improvements in line with KPIs and strategic goals.
  • Manage shared forecasting efforts between the company and suppliers, ensuring proactive planning and alignment.
  • Lead major initiatives such as seasonal launches, supplier-led projects, promotions, IT upgrades, and store openings/closures to deliver best-in-class results.
  • Act as the key link between supplier logistics teams and supply chain operations.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally within Retail or FMCG with a focus on supply chain and planning.
  • Ability to make quick, quality decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for optimal inventory management.
  • Skilled in negotiation, influence, and effective communication at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building across locations.
  • Deep knowledge of inventory management.
  • Expertise in supplier management, including onboarding, relationship management, and performance optimisation.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing teams to achieve operational success.
  • Experience with advanced planning tools.
