Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in the assembly, integration, and testing of cutting-edge unmanned aerial systems (UAS) platforms.

This role requires a versatile individual with mechanical trade skills, familiarity with both electronic and mechanical systems, and the practical experience to work independently or from engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out mechanical and electro-mechanical integration of UAS platforms and subsystems
  • Assemble components using a variety of mechanical fasteners, adhesives, and structural assembly
  • Additive manufacturing to support prototyping, component fabrication, and low-volume production
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, CAD outputs, or verbal instructions
  • Work with composite materials and adhesives in structural and non-structural assemblies
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively in an aerospace workshop environment
  • Provide feedback to engineers on design-for-manufacture improvements
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure safe work practices in accordance with WHS regulations and company standards
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical and/or electronic testing and integration
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and carry out work with minimal supervision
  • Experience with composites, metal machining, Additive manufacturing or automotive/aerospace production/assembly
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and component-level design principles
