Paralegal, Litigation and Dispute Resolution

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Paralegal to join our Litigation & Dispute Resolution Branch. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced solicitors on complex and sensitive litigation matters.

The day-to-day work of the branch includes managing diverse, general civil, police civil and tortious claims, State care, personal injury and negligence claims, coronial investigations including inquests, supervision order matters, judicial review and statutory interpretation, contempt of court, defamation, injunctions and vexatious litigant applications, and commercial litigation.

In this role, you will assist with court preparation, legal research and analysis, drafting correspondence, briefs to counsel and court documents, liaising with clients, counsel and solicitors, and providing administrative support as required.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience working as a Paralegal, a demonstrated ability to perform high-quality legal research, previous experience with document management/discovery related tasks, excellent attention to detail, consistent high standards of work, ability to think critically and work independently, superior time management skills, and ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
