Laundry Attendant and Cleaner

This is an exciting opportunity to join Arcare Aged Care, a leading provider of aged care services in Australia. As a Laundry Attendant and Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain the facility's laundry services, ensuring that residents have access to clean and well-maintained clothing, bed linens, and other fabric items.
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, clothing, towels, and other fabrics used by residents and staff.
- Regularly use, clean, and maintain laundry equipment, such as washing machines and dryers.
- Maintain a system for lost and found items to ensure residents' belongings are returned promptly.
- Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
- Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
- Follow strict infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infections.
- Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
- Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn.
- Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
- Friendly and effective communication abilities.
