The Opportunity
  • Apply cultural awareness in daily interactions, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Deliver high-quality pharmacy services including Home Medication Reviews (HMR), MedsCheck and Diabetes MedsCheck (PPA program), along with other key initiatives
  • Undertake ongoing training to strengthen your ability to adapt services for diverse populations
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to build trust and ensure client understanding
  • Manage clinic imprest systems to support safe and reliable access to medicines
  • Lead the formulation and implementation of Medication Safety Policies
  • Conduct regular visits to Remote Area Nursing Posts to extend care into regional communities
About You
  • Be a degree-qualified Pharmacist with general (unrestricted) AHPRA registration
  • Possess a genuine passion and interest in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander healthcare
  • Have a highly adaptable problem-solver approach
  • Cultivate relationships within rural indigenous communities
  • Work within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding patient care

  • Providing culturally sensitive care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Developing and implementing pharmacy services that meet the needs of diverse populations
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
