AOD Clinical Nurse Consultant

Our organization is seeking an experienced AOD clinical nurse consultant to provide specialized care to patients with high acuity mental health and AOD issues. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with mental health and emergency department staff to deliver timely intervention and support.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will possess a nursing qualification that meets registration requirements, accompanied by a minimum of 5 years' experience in the AOD or related sector. They will also have a working knowledge of relevant policies and Victorian AOD service sector frameworks.

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals presenting to the emergency department.
  • Collaborate with consultants to inform and lead high-level clinical decisions within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assess and highlight risks associated with client substance use and its impact on mental health.
