About the Role
The Senior Payroll Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of payroll services to the NSW Electoral Commission staff and election officials. This position is responsible for managing a large and complex payroll function, ensuring compliance with business, legislative, taxation, and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and systems
- Process and reconcile payroll transactions, including salaries, wages, and benefits
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies
- Provide exceptional customer service to staff and election officials
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues

- Experience managing a large or complex payroll function
- Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners
- Satisfactory Criminal Record check result
