Vehicle Yard Coordinator

The role of Vehicle Yard Coordinator focuses on assisting with inspection of incoming vehicles, including vehicle check-in, digital imaging, vehicle clean-up and preservation, auction numbering and preparation, and responding to customer needs.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vehicle yard, and requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Check-In: Record and file information on incoming vehicles assigned to the facility.
  • Vehicle Preparation: Detail vehicles to improve their appearance for purposes of enhancing their value at auction.
  • Auction Support: Numbering, preparation and setup for weekly/biweekly auction.
  • Customer Service: Assist visitors by providing appropriate guidance and/or directing them to the appropriate person for additional assistance.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate passenger vehicles in a safe manner for moving the vehicles around the facility and/or participating in drive-through auctions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-3 Years of Related Experience: Previous experience in the equipment rental or construction industry and/or related field preferred.
  • Forklift Operating Experience: Previous forklift operating experience is a plus.
  • Basic Automotive Repair Skills: General mechanical knowledge of makes and models of vehicles.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to function well as part of a team, interact effectively and supportively with customers and towers.
