About the Role



We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced trade mark attorney to join our Intellectual Property & Technology team in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with our experts to provide strategic commercial advice on trade mark law matters.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide trade mark services and advice on registration and enforcement issues for a range of industry sectors
* Advise on the adoption of new brands and re-branding strategies, including clearance searches
* Act on trade mark applications, preparing submissions and responding to official reports
* Assist in the management of international trade mark portfolios
* Prepare and manage oppositions and non-use actions, draft evidence and brief counsel
* Draft co-existence and licence agreements
* Provide advice on IP aspects of due diligence and related corporate transactions

Requirements

* Minimum 3 years' experience working in a trade mark attorney firm or IP practice with a focus on trade marks
* Sound knowledge of trade mark law and practice
* Experience using Improtech software and databases is advantageous
* Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
