About the role of Senior Software Solutions Architect

Job Overview:

Pyramid Global Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Solution Designer to join our team in Services Australia.

We require an individual with expertise in designing software solutions across multiple platforms, technical writing, and requirements capture. The successful candidate will work closely with our development teams to convert business and user requirements into technical specifications suitable for use by developers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing software solutions that meet business requirements and are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.
  • Writing high-quality technical documentation, including requirements documents, design documents, and testing plans.
  • Capture and document functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders.
  • Assessing the feasibility and fit-for-purpose of proposed solutions.
  • Developing options for solution implementation and assessing their viability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in a Solution Design role.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, and Scala.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration engines like Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of API gateways, data streaming, and big data technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $150,000 based on industry standards in the Sydney area.
