The Property Underwriter role involves analyzing and underwriting new and renewal business, using our Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels on assignments of technical complexity. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and strong experience in the Insurance sector
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of progression of positions of increasing responsibility
  • In-depth knowledge of line(s) of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to effectively assess risk
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing, regulations, and guidelines
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid knowledge of processing methods and workflow procedures, and basic knowledge of insurance underwriting and regulations for assigned territories.
