Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced Storeperson to join our team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forklift operations and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transporting and tracking fresh produce using forklift equipment
  • Loading and unloading containers and trucks safely and efficiently
  • Performing daily pre-starts and equipment checks to ensure maintenance issues are identified proactively
  • Receiving and despatching goods as required
  • Picking and packing orders, with a focus on manual handling and efficient stock rotation
  • Assisting despatch staff as needed with other duties

Requirements

  • A current Forklift License is essential, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the role
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse or market environment
  • Previous experience working in Fresh Produce Markets is highly desirable
  • An understanding of perishable goods picking, stock rotation and expiry date sorting is essential
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse team
