We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the implementation of our 2026 Census Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples Inclusive Strategy.
- The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a National Lead to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As a leader in this field, you will have the chance to develop and implement strategies that promote diversity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to recruit and provide a positive experience for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Lead the implementation of the 2026 Census Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples Inclusive Strategy in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Work closely with stakeholders to promote Census job opportunities across Australia.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
- Experience in leading teams and developing people.
- A strong written and verbal communication style that adjusts to audiences.
