Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Operator Maintainer to join our team at the Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP). This role involves the operation, monitoring, and upkeep of the plant to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of machinery, including loaders and dozers, while performing manual maintenance tasks.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues to enhance performance and availability.
- Conduct inspections to verify that all equipment operates according to established standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, promoting a culture of mine safety.
- Engage in a mix of team-oriented and independent tasks related to plant operation and maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Recognized qualifications in Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker trade are essential.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a coal mining environment is preferred.
- Proven experience in the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Coal Handling and Preparation Plants.
- Willingness to work on a fortnightly weekend schedule.
