The Flexi Group, a network of co-working spaces across Asia Pacific and Australia, is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Community Lead. This dynamic position requires a proactive and entrepreneurial individual with a passion for creating memorable experiences.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving community events, building lasting relationships with members, and delivering an unparalleled member experience. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, a strong understanding of the Hive's mission and values, and the ability to demonstrate empathy and self-awareness in their interactions with others.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity is open to individuals with a proven track record in customer service, sales, events or related industries. A university degree is not necessary, but prior experience in coworking, real estate, or startup environments would be highly beneficial. The successful candidate will have exceptional organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle pressure and think on their feet.

  • Develop relationships with members and proactively understand their needs.
  • Solve member-related issues to help foster a collaborative community.
  • Identify opportunities on how the Hive can help achieve members' goals.
  • Always deliver and ensure a personalized, high-quality member experience.
  • Make recommendations to the Location Manager on how to improve the overall member experience.

Responsibilities:

Member Experience
  • Relationship Building: Develop meaningful connections with members, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve member-related issues, maintaining a positive and inclusive community atmosphere.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify ways the Hive can support members in achieving their goals, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
  • Quality Experience: Deliver exceptional member experiences through personalized attention, tailored solutions, and timely responses.
  • Recommendations: Provide actionable insights to the Location Manager on enhancing the overall member experience.
Sales
  • Membership Sales: Drive membership growth by negotiating packages, closing deals, and mentoring junior staff on high-quality tour presentation.
  • Tour Mentoring: Train and guide junior staff on delivering engaging, informative tours that showcase the Hive's value proposition.
  • Event Representation: Attend external and internal events as a representative of the location, promoting the Hive's brand and services.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage lead pipelines to maximize conversion rates and ensure seamless deal flow.
Finance, Administration, and Operations
  • Operations Coordination: Organize welcoming ceremonies, member move-ins, and manage petty cash, invoicing, and payment receipt processes.
  • Supply Chain Management:

Manage pantry supplies and coordinate logistics for venue maintenance, improvement, and cleanliness.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Collaborate with the Design Team to address member feedback and observations, ensuring the space remains well-maintained and functional.Content and Events
  • Event Planning: Work closely with the Events Team to conceptualize, plan, and execute engaging events that cater to the community's interests.
  • Partnership Development: Foster collaborations across various industries, facilitating workshops, sessions, and other initiatives that enhance the member experience.
  • Collateral Production: Liaise with the Art Department to create visually appealing event collateral, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Communication and Promotion: Update calendars and notice boards, capture social media-worthy moments, and craft engaging captions to promote events.

  • You should possess outstanding confidence, networking skills, and a deep understanding of the Hive's mission and values.
  • Display a genuine passion for entrepreneurial communities and startups.
  • Demonstrate the ability to embody the Hive's core values, including integrity, dependability, self-awareness, excellent work ethic, and empathy.
  • Show a great sense of teamwork, accountability, mindfulness, and a willingness to go the extra mile for members and your team.

Requirements:

  • A University Degree holder is an advantage but not a must; those with 'University of Life' should apply.
  • 2+ years experience in customer service, sales, events or related industries.
  • Prior experience in coworking, real estate, or startup environments would be highly beneficial.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and fast thinking.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Fluency in English; any additional language is a plus.

Salary Estimate:

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $70,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
