About the Project

The project involves extending the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

As Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the safety function under general supervision. This includes providing operational support to the project management team, researching and assisting with the development of safety policies specific to the project, and conducting routine safety inspections and monitoring work areas.

You will also be responsible for maintaining knowledge of applicable legislative requirements, including government regulations, standards, and policies. Additionally, you will maintain professional relationships with regulatory bodies and clients to foster the professional image of John Holland.

To be successful in this role, you must have a Diploma of Work Health and Safety or equivalent Safety Lead Auditor qualification, as well as experience in construction safety management. You should also possess skills in safety management techniques and tools, and have generalist safety practitioner experience.
