Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Therapeutic Youth Worker to join our team at MacKillop Family Services. As a key member of our staff, you will provide high-quality therapeutic support to young people with complex needs, addressing their emotional, social, and behavioural needs within their home and community.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide therapeutic care to support young people on their healing journey, working closely with our House Manager, Coordinator, Case Worker, Therapeutic Specialist, and other dedicated professionals.
- To address the emotional, social, and behavioural needs of young people, focusing on those who face challenges related to mental health, disability, emotional wellbeing, and behaviour.
- To develop, implement, and review individual plans that support the emotional, social, and behavioural needs of young people, working collaboratively with our team.
- To contribute to a culturally safe and welcoming organization for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Requirements
- Cert IV in Community Services, or Youth Work (or related) or higher.
- Valid and current Driver's License.
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop).
- Valid Employee Working with Vulnerable People Check.
- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check.
